Our "Transition to College" program takes a comprehensive approach to college preparation for underserved high school seniors. The goal is to foster a sense of belonging. We articulate the expectations and responsibilities of college life, help students develop and apply critical thinking skills, and encourage them to continue to clarify their purpose, meaning, and direction. From September through May, our 12th grade students attend seminars and workshops, taught by university professors, to ensure that they develop and maintain a "college bound" mindset, and are equipped with the strategies to successfully adapt to college life.
