College Bound is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. For the past nineteen years, College Bound has
maintained its commitment to the educational well being of underserved students through programs
designed to accelerate student learning, increase academic achievement, and provide college preparatory
assistance to students and their parents.
What We Do
The mission of College Bound is to provide programs and services that prepare students for admission into
and graduation from four-year institutions of higher education.
Where We're From
Parents Johnnie and Andy Savoy started College Bound as an academic resource for parents and
students preparing for college. Having gone through the college application process with their son,
they realized that students needed more preparation and guidance to meet basic requirements for admission.
College Bound was founded in 1990 to academically prepare students for acceptance and graduation from four-year colleges and universities.
In its first year, College Bound helped 39 students gain admission into four-year colleges. Today, College
Bound has prepared more than 620 students for admission and graduation from colleges and universities across the country.
